2023-11-06 No Wind Day - ProWindsurf

 2023-11-06 No Wind Day

Louise and I slept in until 7:00.  She shower was still cold.  We decided to go for a paddle board.  We saw some rays swimming around, several of our usual puffers, angle fist, etc, and a small sting ray scooting along the bottom.  We paddled up to the breakfast place and thought about having breakfast but then realized we didn’t have any money.

On the way back, we stopped and talked to Doug Ross who has a front and centre camping spot right on the beach.  He is well set up with a garage, storage and sitting area next to his camper.  I hope we can see him a few times during the trip.

When we got back to Pro Windsurf, we went for a swim and then headed back to the casita.  We had a shower in the cold water and cleaned up.  We then headed out for breakfast and groceries.
We ate breakfast at the Palapa Ventura. Isreal was our host as usual.  He is very polite and curtious!  We had a wonderful breakfast, looking out over the bay and island.  When we were done, we were surprised how hot it was walking back up to the car.  The table we were at was in the shade and had a slight on-shore breeze, so we very comfortable.  It was stinkin hot in the sun!  We toured up to El Sargento and looked at some of the washouts.  Our steps, beach, and camp ground look to be OK.

We then went to our local store for groceries, and then the Star Market for what was missing.
When we got home, we laid down for a nap.  It was cool in the room, and neither of us felt like venturing back out into the heat.

We made arrangements to go out for supper with Al and Ingrid at 6:00.  At 4:00ish we headed over to the Party Palace for a beer and to talk to everyone.

At 5:30, we left and headed for supper at the Las Palmas.  They had two for one Margaritas.
I had a Papas plate with beef.  Louise had a beef fajita.  Both were excellent, but too much.  We had a lot of fun with Ingrid and Al.  Ingrid is a real character and seemed to really hit it off with Louise.

While we were there, Caitlyn Carlyle came over to visit!  She was eating in the other room.  It was really nice to see her.

We got back to Pro Windsurf around 9:00 and went over to the Party Palace.  Wyatt, Zyra, Tristin (Cho Cho), were there along with Julian’s parents and grand parents.  We had a nice visit.  Wyatt was talking about a new Wing School he is setting up with Charles at the Bay of the dead where the water is flat, but off shore.  He will work it with a Jet Ski and a low number of students.  He may experiment with Louise and Mano.  He figures in high wind at Pro-Windsurf, it will be lighter there, and absolutely flat, taking balance out of the issue….  We will see.
Nice evening.

Bed by 10ish.
