2023-11-10 Pro Windsurf Windy Day

 2023-11-10 Windy Day

Louise and I slept in until 8:00.  I made scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast, and then spent an hour catching up on this log.

We took out time getting going.  Louise went out on the 5.0 and stayed up wind with no problem.  She got close to foiling but not quite.  I went out on a 6.0 Vision.  I had to pump hard to get up on the foil, but I made it work.  I had a pretty good session until I dropped off the foil on a jibe and then discovered that the wing had partially deflated. It was like a wet noodle trying to pump it.  I slogged back to shore and had a rest.

Louise and I had lunch back in the Casita.  I made a Avacado, Onion, Lime and Tomato mix which we had with Chips.  I also had a coke.

After lunch, I went out on a 5.5m Wing and had a good sail, although I still had to wait for the gusts and pump really hard to get up.  I did a few foot transitions by bouncing off a wave, and also missed a few.  I started to make mistakes and fall more, so I came in after about 18km.

Louise had gone out on a 5m Wing, and Wyatt had walked her rig up to Baja Joes (twice) so she wouldn't be worried about loosing ground.  She said she was really close with the board getting slippery under her feet!  So Close.

We were both off the water by 3:30.

Louise and I both took some photos, which turned out pretty well.  Tristen, Wyatt, Charles, Julian, and Julian's dad were all putting on a show!

I worked on photos until about 5:00 and then we went to the party palace.

We went for supper at the Baja Grill with Alexia and his family.  It was really nice although the food was not as good as we expected...

The Carnival was on in town, and Wyatt wanted us to go, but we decide to decline and went to bed instead.
