 2023-11-12 Almost No wind Day

Louise and slept in until almost 8:00.  I made fried tomatoes, eggs and toast for breakfast with grapefruit.

I caught up on this log.  Bobby and Sofea arrived – so great to see them.  Unfortunately, they locked their keys in the car so it took some engineering to get them out.  Too many chief’s, so I went back to the room.

Louise and I went down to the beach to read.  Andy came over to chat so that occupied us.
At Noon, Louise and I took the pathfinder to the Sandwich place by Baja Bites for lunch.  I had a chicken sandwich and Louise had some French fries.  I thought mine was pretty good.  Louise said the fries were a bit under done.

From we went to our El Sargenta store, but they didn’t have any butter, so we stopped at another store and found butter and Tonic (for Gin and Tonic).  We then stopped for a short visit with Doug.  Pam will be arriving next Saturday.  We arranged to meet for supper.

When we got back, the wind was up a bit so we went down to the beach to read again.  George went out on a 5m and didn’t get going.  Jerzy and Dorota were trying winging, bloating back and forth.  I think Andy tried it briefly, and Sofea tried kiting (no luck).  I then I took out Louise’s setup and a 6.5.  I thought I might get going a couple of times, but then the wind seemed to drop even more and I thought I would have to swim in.  Luckily I was on a big board.

Bobby headed out as I came back, but he didn’t get going either.

I went for a short swim after I had put all my equipment away, and then Louise and I headed to the Casita to clean up and get ready for supper.

We went to the Party Palace for a short visit, and then took the Toyota Van to pick up Doug and Rhonda.  We had a nice supper at Rizo's - close to our January house.  It was pretty good, although Louise wasn't thrilled with hers.  Rhonda is down for the season, and Brad will be joining her.  Pam will be coming Saturday so we may get to see her.

When we were done supper, we wandered through the fair, which was just setting up.  It was only about 6:30.  We dropped Doug and Rhonda off at the campground, and then headed back to the Party Palace where we had a nice evening with George, Judy, Ed, and Andy.

Early to bed again!
